Exploration of light, colour, shadow and optical effects in a range of different contexts and situations. Examples include:

Cherry Blossom Projections

Footage of blossoming cherry trees gently swaying against a bright blue sky are projected onto three giant parasols using powerful wide-angled projectors and mirrors, amid birdsong for an evening illumination event. Seen at petris Park, Trier, Germany, 17th September 2011.

Moire effect disks

Ultra-Violet painted disks, pierced with moire-effect inducing slots, can be spun by members of the public in an interactive optical effect. Seen at Huddersfield Festival of Light, late November 2010.

Shadow workshops

Workshops exploring, creating and using shadow puppets and other shadow and light effects - this after a session with young people in Leeds, autumn 2011:
